joelee's blog http://noesis.fifthhorseman.net/blog/8 en Wind turbine notes http://noesis.fifthhorseman.net/node/19 <p>Did some research on the web for micro wind turbines, it seems that it's difficult to generate much power with small diameter turbines at low wind speeds.</p> <p>Found an interesting site documenting a <a href="http://www.oceansolar.com/oceansolar/winex.html">house in Oregon</a> that primarily used PV solar system but also experimented with a number of small turbines to test how they would perform in a residential setting.
